Ceramic foam filters

for filtration of cast iron or light metal materials

Characteristics:

• large surface due to structure
• open-pored, ceramic filter body
• high load bearing capacity

Due to the physical filtration effect, even the most finely dispersed impurities of the melt are separated in the structure and on the surface of the filter.

1) SIC quality for iron cast materials up to 1470 °C and heavy metals

• Porosity 10 ppi for grey cast iron (GG) and spheroidal graphite iron (GGG)
• Porosity 20 ppi for grey cast iron (GG) and problem castings
• Porosity 30 ppi for malleable cast iron (GT)

2) Quality AL203 for light metal materials (up to 1200 °C)

• Porosity 10 ppi for standard castings
• Porosity 20 ppi for problem castings
• Porosity 30 ppi for precision castings

3)Quality ZRO2

Zirconium oxide foam ceramic filters are also available. For steel casting and Mg alloys. Standard thickness 22 mm, other thicknesses on request.
